Ever seen a gorilla riding a 250cc banana?

Ever seen a gorilla riding a 250cc banana?

Well I have.

Last Saturday we headed off to an event we sponsor called Dust Hustle.  It’s the fourth time this event has been put on by Ellaspede, a Brisbane custom motorcycle business.

Dust Hustle is probably the only place you can see unicorns, brides, panda bears and tuxedos racing on dirt tracks for no reason other than to have fun all day riding on dirt tracks, on bikes that were not designed for dirt.  There’s no first place, no trophies, no real rules other than to have fun.

According to Ellaspede “Why ride dirt on the woefully inappropriate? Because no good story ever started with …I was riding the perfect bike in excellent conditions.” Dust Hustle.
Here’s a link to the video we did on the day –

Black Dog Ride 2017

Black Dog Ride – 19th March 2017

Today saw the 9th Annual Black Dog Ride aimed to raise awareness about depression and suicide prevention.  Here on the Gold Coast the weather was not ideal, however it didn’t keep the riders away.  With a breakfast starting at 8am, it gave plenty of time for riders to arrive and gather before the 10am kick off.

Leaving from Helensvale, the ride headed up Beenleigh-Beaudesert Road, past the Bearded Dragon, through Canungra and finished up at Country Paradise Parklands where lunch and a car show and shine was waiting.  Fortunately the rain stayed away which made it an enjoyable ride.

It was great to see people, riders and non riders, from all walks of life come together for such a worthy and important cause.

If you feel the Black Dog of depression approach know that you have friends who care and don’t be afraid to reach out.  You may be surprised that there will always be someone there to help.

For more information on the Black Dog Ride check them out at

If you ever feel you need to talk, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on  1300 22 4636 or check out

Introducing the Alter Ego 3.0

Introducing the Alter Ego 3.0. by Joe Rocket

This is an amazing jacket with tons of features for functionality and protection and looks totally hot!!!

With many adjustments in the back, sides, hips and arms, this jacket is the most flexible fit jacket we have ever seen.

It is essentially 2 jackets in 1 that consists of 3 layers for an all weather option of riding all year round.

Consisting of the armoured FreeAir main mesh jacket which could be coupled with the zip on water proof outer layer for wet weather and for those chillier rides add in the fleece vest inner warmth liner.

Other features include neoprene collars, reflective stripes, C.E Certified armor in the shoulders and elbows and removable spine armor.

This jacket was my introduction to Joe Rocket products and that led to the decision to stock Joe Rocket.
